How to make Edible Dessert Play-Doh
For today’s activity we will be making homemade marshmallow play-doh!
You will need:
1 cup marshmallows
1 cup powdered sugar (more for kneading)
1 tsp water
1 microwave-safe bowl
1 fork (to stir)
Optional, for making shapes: butter knife
Steps:
Start by putting your marshmallows and water in a microwave-safe bowl
Put the bowl in the microwave for a minute until the marshmallows puff up
Take marshmallow mix out of the microwave and stir quickly with a fork
Start to slowly add powdered sugar as you stir
When the dough starts to get too stiff to stir with a fork, sprinkle powdered sugar on a breadboard/table and scoop the dough onto the table
Knead the dough with your hands and more p. sugar until the dough doesn’t stick to your hands
Use your creativity to make different things. You can make shapes, animals, see just how much you can build!
Lastly, clean up all supplies! (better to clean up right away so the marshmallows don’t stick to your dishes)
Once you are all done creating your masterpiece, you can store your creation in a refrigerator or even eat it!
